Banya (verb):
To engage in the wellness ritual of alternating between high-heat sauna sessions and cold-water immersion, often as part of a communal or social activity aimed at relaxation, detoxification, and rejuvenation.
The Banya Ritual
Banya Rituals are immersive wellness experiences that blend traditional heat therapy, cold plunges, and relaxation to rejuvenate the body and mind.
Centered on the practice of heating up, cooling down, and connecting, your Banya Ritual is an invitation to co-create social connections while simultaneously experiencing deep physical relaxation in our serene spaces.
Banya is designed for social wellness and rejuvenation and we welcome you to revitalize your body and mind in the company of community, leaving you feeling restored, connected and balanced.
How to Banya
1. Heat Up
Get toasty in the dry heat of one of our two room-sized saunas, or bathe in the warmth of our cedar hot tub.
The Heat Up process is designed to increase cardiovascular circulation and promote a natural endorphin release — a healthy kind of buzz.
The heat helps alleviate pain, reduce joint stiffness, and supports detoxification. It’s not just therapeutic—it’s indulgent, leaving you feeling relaxed and revitalized.
2. Cool Down
Cold water immersion is a known powerful — and empowering — boost to overall health and recovery.
The Cool Down is a sudden shift to cold water after enjoying the warmth of the sauna and cedar hot tub.
The temperature contrast improves cardiovascular circulation and encourages efficient delivery of oxygen and vital nutrients throughout your body for optimal performance and general well-being.
Cold water therapy reduces muscle inflammation and swelling and can provide fast physical relief after intense activity and encourage recovery for a pain-free, enlivened body.
3. Connect
Social wellness is a vital and often overlooked pillar of overall health.
In the absence of meaningful connections with others, feelings of isolation and disconnection can contribute negatively to mental health.
Balancing mental health can feel just as rigorous of a routine as any physical training — if not sometimes more so.
As biologically social creatures, social connection is a fundamental need, just as our needs include safe shelter and nourishment.
Social wellness is an important segment of a complex physical and mental puzzle
that we all strive to piece together.
When the bigger picture starts to form we can access who we are as individuals
— alive, worthy, and whole.
